Nexium Control Tablets 20mg is used in adults for the short-term treatment of reflux symptoms (for example, heartburn and acid regurgitation).
Reflux is the backflow of acid from the stomach into the gullet (“foodpipe”) which may become inflamed and painful. This may cause you symptoms such as a painful sensation in the chest rising up to your throat (heartburn) and a sour taste in the mouth (acid regurgitation).
Nexium Control is not meant to bring immediate relief. You may need to take the tablets for 2-3 days in a row before you feel better. You must talk to a doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 14 days.

Medication Warning: Nexium Control, EsomeprazoleNexium Control is a prescription medicine used after a diagnosis of heartburn and acid regurgitation. The tablets are caused by a type of acid called primary protonophageater (PHTE) in the stomach. These medicines cause an increase in the proton level of an acid in the stomach, which causes you symptoms. Heartburn and acid regurgitation may also cause similar conditions.

This medicine may also cause an allergic reaction because it contains esomeprazole. Esomeprazine/Nex retardation extended use only in children and is not recommended in infants, if you are also using perindopril and is not taking in combination with perindopril.
If allergic, discuss with you doctor if you:If you had a severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) recently (or after one year) with Nexium Control or a previous adverse reaction to any of the ingredients listed at the end of this leaflet. This includes a serious allergic reaction to esomeprazole. See the package leaflet in the product leaflet for more information.
If you had a severe allergic reaction (anaphylactic reaction) while taking Nexium Control or a previous serious anaphylactic reaction to esomeprazole. This includes a serious allergic reaction, consisting of severe pain, difficulty breathing or swallowing, blood in your lungs (pneumonia), blood in your blood. You have severe kidney disease, liver cirrhosis or kidney problems. You have a known hypersensitivity (allergy to any of the ingredients listed at the end of this leaflet) to esomeprazole.

Nexium 24HR Once Daily Dosing Tablets provide lasting relief from frequent heartburn and acid reflux. They provide
4-6 hours of consistent relief from discomfort associated with these frequent relief treatments. Nexium 24HR20 tablets are a reliable and long-lasting treatment for frequent heartburn. It provides long-lasting protection from frequent heartburn treatment.1
Directions for Use
Follow the directions for use for the best results. The Nexium 24HR Once Daily Dosing Tablets should be taken at least 4 hours before frequent heartburn treatment. Do not take more than once daily.2
